Cataract Awareness Month

Cataract Awareness Month


Cataracts develop when there is a clouding of the eye's lens. There is no known cause for cataracts, but researchers have suggested that UV rays, air pollutions cigarette smoke and alcohol consumption may be factors. Luckily cataract surgery has proven very successful in patients with perfect vision being restored in most cases.
